About

I’m Rob. By day I’m a Principal Solutions Architect at AWS, where I help large organisations, many of them in healthcare and life sciences, work out how to use Generative AI and agentic systems safely and get them into production. I’ve also spoken at AWS re:Invent for the last three years.

I came to that the long way round. Before AWS I spent the best part of two decades on the customer side, most recently leading cloud platform engineering in pharmaceuticals and financial services. More on my work page.

Away from the day job I’m a dad of two, and a landscape and astrophotographer whenever the weather and the kids allow. My photography lives at photography.robertbradley.co.uk.

And somewhere in between, I tinker. I spend an unreasonable amount of time on home automation, self-hosted services and the small infrastructure problems that come with running your own things rather than renting them. Add 3D printing, listening in on the airwaves with an RTL-SDR, and whatever DIY project the house needs next, all fuelled by a serious love of coffee. Most of what ends up on this site starts there.
